This update brings a small spring housewarming gift for your profile, a litany of exciting new items to obtain, a swarm of new beetles, a few surprises, and many improvements under the hood.

New Shelf System

Every user has been delivered a lovingly hand-crafted shelf to fill with Trinkets and Trophies. There are 12 unique shelf materials, but no two shelves are quite alike. Users will be able to display an always visible top-five trophy items and expand their shelf to view and move around their full collection. Do not worry if you didn't get the shelf material you like the best, opportunities to acquire more furniture will arrive soon.

Trinkets are rare and valuable items now waiting to be discovered in the wild or fabricated through Beetlecraft recipes. Each had a profound sentimental meaning to someone, at some point. Keep them somewhere safe, and display them very proudly, you never know when one of these things might come in handy.

Trophies are a token of your infatuation with a favored beetle. As all entomologists know, there is no greater form of affection for a beautiful specimen than shoving a pin through its torso and immortalizing it forever on your shelf. With this update, each user gets one free specimen pin but you'll have to find more yourself.

Spring Swarm

As we move into the warmer part of the year, expect to see new flowers, beetles, and litter populating the forest. Six new beetles have arrived alongside nine new flowers and a full set of crafting recipes connecting the new items together.

Updated Mechanics

  • Junk faucet — You may now talk the Cheeseman into giving you a piece of garbage every day.
  • Pity counters — Drop odds for each rarity tier improve the longer you've gone without a hit. Lousy beetles can be repurposed into the uncommon pity counter.
  • Hammer grace — Hammer durability no longer gets used on the initial grace craft.

Achievements

Remilia's next rave is happening in Tokyo this Friday, May 8th, doors at 11 PM. If you're attending, scan in at the door using the QR code on your RemiliaNET profile card and your attendance achievement will be issued on the spot. Can't make it out? Catch the livestream on RemiCast.

Several new achievements have been added this cycle, including attendance achievements for January Tokyo and NYFW. If you attended NYFW and felt you may have missed yours, check your profile again, you probably have it now.

Spring Cleaning

We've taken these past couple of months to lay the groundwork for some very large and ambitious new features. Thank you for sticking with us as we migrate and improve systems behind the scenes. Some of the more noticeable changes are listed below.

Property

  • Your ownership of Remilia and Remilia-adjacent NFTs is now tracked much more accurately. Our previous implementation suffered from unfortunately frequent desyncs, which should now be a thing of the past.
  • RemiliaNET now honors property from delegate wallets through delegate.xyz.

Authentication

  • Logging in is significantly faster, and all account management pages look and feel considerably better.
  • Multi-factor authentication now allows you to save trusted devices, so you won't need to enter a code every time you sign in from a familiar machine. Public or shared computers should not be marked as trusted.
  • Users with smart-contract wallets (Safe, Argent, etc.) can now sign in alongside standard wallets.

Statistics and Social Credit

  • Statistics from a variety of sources are now more accurate.
  • Merch points — earned by purchasing products from remilia.com — have joined the stats list and convert directly into Social Credit.
  • Social Credit Scores are now undergoing Active Calculation. You are being watched.
  • Achievements are now being granted to users correctly.

Fixes & Improvements

  • Most areas of the site are significantly faster and more responsive.
  • The mobile layout has received some much needed love.
  • A number of bugs related to profile editing have been resolved.
  • Fixed duplicate property ownership records appearing after token transfers.
  • Fixed several broken on-chain property queries.
  • Fixed page view recording and notifications that had stopped firing after a code refactor.

As always, the team is working tirelessly to create more beautiful gizmos, gadgets, features, and furnishings for your enjoyment. Thank you for your continued participation.
