RemiliaNET Alpha - Design Notes

Remilia is the only group positioned to launch a new social network in competition with the majors, because the first step is summoning a seed community to colonize the new territory with self-sustainable life; and unlike the existing web 2.0 social networks, we are digital natives with a clear understanding of what the new internet needs to look like to survive content deluge in the age of AI which will not support the current attention paradigm.

This is done with Remilia Chat, which, as you know, is a reimagining of the social network designed to withstand the coming content/noise deluge, provide an alternative to the attention-extraction model of existing social media, recognizing the personal computer's true utility as an exocortex and the internet's true potential as an networked public exocortex, in an attempt to fork the timeline into one where humanity stands ascendent against greater diminutive forces.

RemiliaNET forms the profile/identity service layer of Remilia Chat, acting as a single sign-on with rewards tracking for the existing Remilia ecosystem (inclusive across Ethereum milady derivatives). We launch it now to begin training our audience manipulation engine and accelerate our cultural domination campaign. It will be integrated into all first-party Remilia ecosystem projects, including IRL events and shops; as well as made available for third parties. RemiliaNET begins the identity funnel and tracking for CULT manipulation, and will be expanded in second stage release with chat servers, timeline, blogging and interoperable avatars to form the full serviced social network MMO as Remilia Chat.

The RemiliaNET layer of Remilia Chat will ultimately form the basis of the social graph recommendation algorithm manipulating all interactions across Remilia Chat, with the “social credit score” serving as a content sybil/noise filtering, as part of Remilia Chat’s vision for a new internet designed to accelerate networking, social coordination.

RemiliaNET Design philosophies:

  • Social Media as MMO. We endeavored to re-imagine what social network UX would look and feel like from the perspective of a massive-multiplayer game rather than traditional “social media”, recognizing that the real successors to web 2.0 social media are “social gaming” platforms like Fortnite and Roblox.
  • Katamari Garden. In opposition to the walled garden approach, we are assuming full import and export of user data and content and crossplatform sync posting as a standard on the basis that the strong horse wins out. Instead of attempting to isolate and lock our users down, we’ll allow them to propagate as effectively across the wider internet as possible, knowing it will all trickle back as users follow their way upstream.
  • Gamified Anti-sybil. We seek an alternative solution to the bot problem than invasive KYC, and the answer is detecting organic activity which can be achieved through the multifactor source of gamified interactions, social activity and real-life products and events that already represents the existing Remilia ecosystem. This can be simply encouraged through integrated gamification.

Specific Implementations:

  • Umbrella Identity Funnel. Remilia’s ecosystem is now unified into a singular official core, connecting all branches of its participants' various social platforms through incentivized reward mechanisms. Remilia announcements, RSVPs, invitations, surveys, forms, applications, notices, warnings, and various other shouts will be presented through a secure central venue impervious to deceptive imitation and allowing full engagement tracking for cult contributors.
  • Social Credit Score. Users will be automatically graded along a scaled social credit system which displays score on their profile. Manipulation round airdrops, feature unlocks, and account presentation aesthetics will be tied to the user’s social score which oscillates actively and automatically per the actions they take on the platform. This credit score is theoretically useful for any crypto project interested in sybil detection and genuine engagement metrics without resorting to invasive KYC.
  • Layered Gaming. Entire social ecosystem is gamified where possible, with unlockables, rewards, randomization and social signals to maximize the latent interest in social networking in lieu of any attention harvesting algorithm. This will be greatly expanded seasonally. E.g. The Beetleboy module is provided as a global chat fidget spinner that doubles as a claim system widget for accruing in-game tokens and acquiring resources in varying rarity; designed to modular for more intense gameplay as later stages unlock.
  • Generative sound effects categorized by UX type, on a pentatonic scale for playfulness. Lower bandwidth than .wav files and makes the screen interactive in a way that is simultaneously gamic and meditative. The same scale was used to generate the landing page’s countdown clock, and slowed down to create its ambient background tones.
  • Generative avatars. The Universal Basic Kagami is generated based off the UID (12 character hexadecimal), allowing the kagami to serve as a UID permalink, decodable with an image of the kagami itself (also reflected in a barcode and QR code). Unlike other similar implementations (Urbit, Github), the Basic Universal Kagami does not make a pretense of an algorithmic aesthetic, instead pushing a personable character identity. Theoretically the kagami could be decoded as a UID even in the form of physical bead art, painting, etc.
  • Achievement System. To date, the Beetlepoints achievement system that Remilia released for CULT’s launch is the most sophisticated in-depth airdrop rewards mechanism ever implemented in Web3. Achievements and their respective points scoring system rewarded every Remi-eco participant along hard loyalty vectors for actions both on and off-chain. RemiliaNET now issues achievements automatically, rewarding users for reaching participation milestones and discovering secret easter egg features; surprise achievements will also be distributed in seasonal batches to avoid farming.
  • Structured Styling. A combination of user customization with limitations to ensure personalization (and subsequent affective attachment) without creating an incoherent UI. e.g. user can choose a hex code on a horizontal palette, by default taken as a summary of the kagami palette. This characterizes their own UX but is also their public profile theme, extending onto their ID card and display name in chat.

Note on corporate internals and the growing Remilia team.

An update from our last missive in Christmas 2025; the first half of the year was locked into the migration of our team to a dedicated Southern California office and general hiring expansion, which we are still in the process of. Remilia has never had seriously dedicated development or design teams previously, you will note the higher quality output and higher pace of releases as we get into the groove to position ourselves for entirely new application. On the creative side, winning the culture war by the end of the decade still remains the preliminary goal to building the new internet—Remilia has already built the defining art of the decade, our second stage is making ourselves legible to dying cultural institutions through criticism and some legitimacycraft to stabilize an on-going funnel into the 1000 year project.
